The CRE Rising Fund was developed to serve nonprofit organizations that are working to fight poverty and advance opportunity.

The Rising Fund is CRE’s pro bono and subsidized consulting program. Through the Rising Fund, we are able to partner with small nonprofits in New York City to complete subsidized or no-cost consulting engagements (valued at ~$15K) . This program enables CRE to partner with organizations that do not otherwise have access to our services. Once selected, the Rising Fund awardee partners with a CRE consultant on an organizational development area, including planning, board development, or team effectiveness.

The Rising Fund brings tangible gains to a small, nonprofit organization. These gains can increase an operating budget, harness staff capacity and create plans for sustainability. Since 2014, the Rising Fund has:

• Invested $250,000 into small nonprofit organizations

• Served 50 organizations

• Impacted 10,000 lives across 5 boroughs
