Jean Lobell
Director of Consulting

Jean has an extensive background in both the not-for-profit and corporate sectors. Her expertise includes organizational development, leadership and management development, human resources management, strategic planning, and organizational cultural change. Before joining CRE in 2002, Jean was founder of AcXEL International, Ltd., an independent consulting firm, and held management positions at Deutsche Bank and JPMorgan Chase. She is a past recipient of a Fulbright Scholar and Developmental Leadership Fellow at the Institute of International Education and a Star Award from the New York Women’s Agenda. She’s been recognized for her work in the Asian-American community, most recently by the APICHA Community Health Center for her ongoing work with the Asia Pacific Islander Communities. Jean is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, and her articles have appeared in Nonprofit Quarterly. She holds a doctorate in organizational psychology from Columbia University and an M.A. from the University of Minnesota. She graduated cum laude with a double major in psychology and journalism from St. Joseph's College, Manila, Philippines.
