Why Support CRE?

Each day, over 2 million New Yorkers turn to a community-based organization (CBO) to help them with a range of needs-from emergencies like homelessness and hunger to long-term needs like education and career goals. Every year, 350 of our city's CBOs turn to Community Resource Exchange (CRE) for hands-on assistance as they sustain and build programs addressing critical issues in neighborhoods of condensed poverty.

Every dollar you contribute to CRE is an investment in the health and stability of a network of community-based organizations fighting poverty and AIDS in New York City's five boroughs. CRE's capacity-building programs strengthen CBOs in many ways. CRE's consulting services and training programs empower community leadership, build management tools, and link CBOs to key resources. With CRE's assistance CBOs can run their programs more effectively and cost-efficiently. Every contribution to CRE supports dozens of soup kitchens and food pantries, after school programs, immigrant service centers, HIV prevention programs, clinics, community centers and senior centers — all fighting to meet the needs and protect the rights of all New Yorkers.

Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution to Community Resource Exchange. Please donate online, call CRE's Manager of Individual Giving, Esther Alix at 212-894-3366 or email at ealix(at)crenyc.org for more information. Thank you for considering a contribution to CRE.

"Some can do consulting and sort of be there on the side, not completely engaged. With CRE – it’s not just someone doing a job."
