Start-Up Workshop Series

CRE is offering their free Start-Up Workshop Series this Spring. This is a 4-part series offered 3 times a year as a public service to emerging and young nonprofits. There is no cost to attend and guests are welcome to the remaining sessions:

  • Workshop Three: Budget Basics
    March 21, 2008   9:30 am - 1:30 pm, Facilitator Arnaldo Simó
    In this workshop you will learn budgeting basics: how to develop budgets that accurately reflect your true program costs; how to effectively communicate your budget and program needs; and bookkeeping tips to use once you have received the money.
  • Workshop Four: Fundraising 101
    April 8, 2008   9:30 am - 1:30 pm, Facilitator Kim Sanders
    In this workshop you will learn the basics of fundraising: where money for non-profits comes from; how to describe your programs to make competitive requests; how the funding process in foundations works; how to raise money from individuals in your own community; and how to diversify in a tough environment.
