CRE's Third Party Payment Plan

In many cases, CRE's work can be delivered to nonprofit community groups at no cost to the groups. Over the years CRE has developed a unique 'third party payer' plan, building relationships with 25 grantmakers and City agencies who underwrite our consulting work. These third party contracts create an opportunity for community groups to access high-quality consulting services.

  • You may qualify for CRE's management assistance at no cost to you, if you are a nonprofit organization and a grantee of the American Red Cross/Rockefeller Philanthropies, the Robert Bowne Foundation, the New York Foundation, Youth I.N.C., the SI Bank & Trust Foundation, the Union Square Awards, or the United Way of New York City. Please contact your program officer at the relevant foundation for more information or leave a message on CRE's direct intake line, 212- 894-3395.
  • You may qualify for CRE's management assistance at no cost to you, if you are a nonprofit organization and your programs focus on HIV/AIDS; HIV prevention education services, youth services, immigrants services, programs for the aging, social justice, advocacy, and community organizing. Please contact CRE's direct intake line, 212-894-3395, for more information.
  • Grantmakers who want to learn more about partnering with CRE to build the capacity of grantees should contact CRE's Development Office for more information: 212-894-8046 or fbarrett(at)crenyc.org.

Outside of the third party payment plan, 25% of community groups opt to pay CRE directly for our services. Finally, a select number of organizations who do not qualify for one of CRE's existing contractual third party payers and who lack the capacity to pay CRE directly for its work may meet the criteria for short-term assistance through our Capacity Account program. This program is made possible through CRE's general support grants and contributions by individuals. Please contact CRE's direct intake line for more information (212-894-3395).
