CRE Publications for Nonprofits

"Program planning takes time and energy, but its benefits can be time-saving in the end. This section will take you through the program planning process step by step, offering examples and providing a list of resources to assist you."

An except from the "Getting Started" chapter of CRE's From Vision to Reality: A Guide to Launching a Successful Nonprofit

"CRE seems to be more of a doer than just a firm that provides you with facilitation.  CRE helps you to do the work, set it up, and then gets out of the way; it’s the way I think all consultants should be.  CRE gets its hands dirty and pushes the product and moves the project."

More than 400 nonprofit leaders come through CRE’s door each year. In the midst of this heavy consulting workload, we engaged 67 leaders over the last three years in four Leadership Caucuses, CRE’s nine-month leadership development program. These leaders in turn had the "courage to pause" from their impossibly crowded schedules and delve into the uncharted and fuzzy universe of leadership issues. This publication summarizes some of what we've learned about leadership in the nonprofit sector.
